A part-time contract role, roughly 20 hours a week, writing the kind of technical content our audience actually reads: implementation walk-throughs, architecture decisions, honest post-mortems. You will work from interviews with our engineers, so you do not need to have built the thing — but you do need to understand it before you write about it.
What you’ll do
- Write 4–6 substantial technical articles a month from engineer interviews
- Turn shipped client work into case studies, with the client’s approval
- Edit engineering drafts into something readable without flattening the detail
- Apply on-page SEO without letting it distort the argument
- Maintain a consistent voice across everything we publish
What we’re looking for
- 1+ years writing technical or developer-facing content, with samples
- You can read code well enough to follow an explanation and ask the right question
- Excellent written English — structure, rhythm and restraint
- Comfortable interviewing engineers and pushing past a vague answer
- Basic SEO literacy: search intent, headings, internal linking
Nice to have
- You have written code professionally at some point
- Documentation experience — API references, guides, changelogs
- Familiarity with Markdown and a Git-based publishing workflow
- A personal blog we can read
